Out On Main Art Gallery

You won’t find Out on Main Gallery’s address of #1 Basin Spring Ave on any map or GPS – that’s because Basin Spring Avenue is the staircase between Spring & Main Streets. Located one floor above the New Delhi Café (#2 N Main Street), the gallery opens at 10am 6 days a week (closed Tues). Far from being a gallery full of incomprehensible (and over-priced) artwork, the Out on Main Gallery features handmade creations from several regional and local artists in a variety of media (pottery, stained glass, paintings, collages, sculpture, jewelry and warm glass).

Potters Patrick Lujan and Lee Kroll learned their craft at Coyote Clay Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Patrick eventually taught classes there, as well, and placed his pieces in galleries in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, participating in the well-known Weem’s Art Fest 3 years running. Moving to Eureka Springs, Arkansas in early 2007, they opened up their own studio, Out on Main. Concentrating exclusively on hand-building techniques, they specialize in antique textures and primitive firing methods, such as Raku, Horse Hair and Pit Fire, often with strong geometric forms. They sell their work through their own gallery, Out on Main, in Downtown Eureka Springs, alongside that of other local artists/friends, and have shown at White Street Walk, The Fall Arts Show and Pinnacle Hills ArtFest.
